GREEN TOURISM ACTION SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS

Green Tourism Action Supporting Organizations are required to make the following commitments by 2050 to become initiative signatories:
  • Endorse the common vision of the initiative and ITCF.
  • Encourage affiliated organizations and businesses or partners to join the Green Tourism Plastics Free Business World Initiative.
  • Advice Based on Actions and guide affiliated organizations and businesses or partners to better manage plastics in their operational spaces through practices, criteria, standards and/or policies, and support them on the implementation of their commitments to the Green Tourism Plastics Free Business World Initiative with the aid of the NECCASO Green Unit Programme.
  • Communicate successes to affiliated organizations and businesses or partners, tourists and key local stakeholders to enhance growth awareness and streamlined success.
  • Public reports on success stories enacted form the own commitments by various organizations. We recommend the following steps for Supporting Organizations to become signatories:
  • Download the members signatory model scheme for additional guidance to develop own organizational commitments.
  • Download the reference guide manual of the Initiative to understand its background.
  • Design Own Organizational commitments offline and get internal validation from Management.
  • Fill the Online Member signatory Form Below for Green Tourism Supporting Organizations with the final version of Own commitments.
  • The NECCASO Team will contact you with feedback in a format well accepted [PDF] that will be required to be signed by the board of directors, director / management representative.

  • Take action to move from single-use to reuse models or reusable alternatives;
  • Take action to increase the amount of recycled contents across all plastic packaging
  • Commit to collaborate and invest to increase the recycling rates for plastics.
  • Publicly report on progress towards meeting own commitments, as well as on estimates of annual volumes (tonnes) of plastics production/use. We recommend the following steps for aviation, hospitality ventures to become signatories:
